Recycling Craft Projects

So recently I have come across some really intriguing craft projects that use things I already have and result in some beautiful decor. I thought I would share my top 3 favs with you.:

The TP flower project

How to go from this

to this!!

Gorgeous, right?

My #2 is this cute little wreath. I think this could look really cute as a hanging ball too!

Recycled Plastic Bag Wreath

Go from lots of these

to this!

101_0427[1]So cute! And what a great way to use up all those plastic bags!

#3 is probably the most time consuming and one that I don’t exactly have instructions for. But I think it’s self-explanatory. These mirrors have been popping up all over the place for the last year or so, and even though they are not nearly as expensive as they were, they are still on the pricey side, especially for the larger ones.

I think that this idea would be really nice even just for a small picture frame! Lots of rolled up magazine strips held together with a dab of glue and then glued onto a mirror or picture frame.

Using a tooth pick inside the little rolls might make the rolls easier to do evenly and a sturdier end product!

This could also be a really lovely way to use up all that scrapbook paper I have laying around :) Could even color coordinate it! Or … just plain newspaper for a more neutral look!

  1. oh thanks for featuring my TP project. It wasn't my own idea, as I mentioned in my post. I found it on Growing Up Creative :)
I love the magazine mirror. I've actually been wondering myself how to do something like that (I actually want to create a bin out of those) I'll keep looking for a tutorial :)
